Chiggers chomp
Eddies, 51-48

CHATHAM - The Chiggers were up by eleven under Monday night lights, but weren't able to offer any sort of resistance to Eddies' wide receiver Odell Beckham. Beckham's efforts narrowed the margin to three by handling a pair of zone zingers among 75 yards, but that was all she wrote.

Chatham built a lead as Drew Brees let fly for 265 yards including a trio of treys and also took in a sixpack on a sneak. The Chiggers did some bigtime rompin' and stompin', too, with Aaron Jones totin' the turd through the invisible plane twice among 145 yards, and Todd Gurley rambled for 120 including a visit to the cash machine. For good measure, JuJu Smith-Schuster caught a post toaster among 90 yards and Davante Adams palmed two to tango. Chatham's offensive punch was mighty important because the Itchy 'n Scratchy defense didn't pee a drop. The Chiggers outgained the Eddies 808-730 in total yardage.

As it turned out, Seashrein could have had an 8th consecutive dubya in their grasp if bigheads hadn't opted to go with a spread formation. Matt Ryan continued to be the BSFL's best flingin' machine by completing for 330 yards including a pair to the promised land. On the receiving end along with Beckham, Michael Thomas grabbed a pair in the funzone among 70 yards, and Antonio Brown hauled in tosses for 96. Just acquired Damontae Kazee pilfered a pass and Dee Ford planted the passer to drag Chatham back...but not quite enough.

Bashers beat up
Hoppers, 40-14

GENESEE – The stampede really began with Tyreek Hill's pair of celebration catches among 117 yards and continued to run as Alvin Kamara lugged the nut over the goal line twice. Greg Zuerlein booted a dozen points through the uprights to run up the score even more. Spaeth's attack produced a rather modest 653 total yards considering how many points were scored by the Bashers compared to 565 for the Hoppers.

The Hoppers, meanwhile, were squished flat as pancakes with only Melvin Gordon's loaf lugs for 93 and 72 more manhandling air biscuits including a housecall at all meaningful.

Casualties crush
Marauders, 64-24

FIFTH STREET – What the heck got into the Casualties? Perhaps, a test for PEDs should be demanded considering EVERY OFFENSIVE PLAYER FOR FIFTH STREET FOUND PAYDIRT...AND 10 OF 11 PLAYERS SCORED POINTS. Boy, oh, boy...that must be some good stuff! It's tough to know where to start, so here goes on the basis of end zone visits. Andrew Luck found a trio loose for scoreboard blinkers among strikes for 285 yards. Both running backs, Nick Chubb and David Johnson, made two visits apiece, with each toting the tater in once and also snatching an air ball for three. Chubb chugged on the ground for 176 yards with 33 more as a receiver, while Johnson zig-zagged for 98 as well as 85 hauling in flying pig snouts. All three wideouts advanced into the zone with Julio Jones catching a TD toss among 107 yards and Keenan Allen snatching his along with 57. The third receiver, Brandin Cooks, got home with a sixpack among 9 yards fly sweeping, but also held on to passes for 100. Whew...this is exhausting. Robbie Gould kicked for 11 points, Chris Jones led the Street Walker defense with a pair of pancakes and a coughup, Khalil Mack also had two sacks, and Ron Parker smooshed the quarterback as well. Only Carlos Dunlap wasn't in on the gravy train. The Casualties outgained the Marauders 948 yards to 642.

Manhart had some bright spots, believe it or not. Ezekiel Elliott dodged his way for 151 yards including a scoring scoot and also caught a trey. Russell Wilson launched a trio on target for touchdowns and rambled on keepers for 92 yards and Aaron Donald planted the passer two and a half times.

Elites electrocute Nunya, 56-26

EASTMONT – Maybe the Elites ought to be tested, too, because all their players, except two defensive backs, contributed points. Foremost was 'Big Ben' Roethlisberger who rang chimes 5 times while chucking for 328 yards. Leonard Fournette finally made it back from injury to score on a pigskin pack as well as a swing pass among rushes for 53 and receptions for 56. Mark Ingram also caught a counter among 58 yards and toted the tater for another 104. Robert Woods paced the receiving corps with grabs for 89 yards. Wil Lutz booted 15 points 'tween the tines and Chandler Jones paced Royal Flush defenders with two flapjacks. Eastmont outgained Ephrata in total offense, 864-667.

The only Nunya to post anything big was Zach Ertz who sticky fingered two air biscuits for toasters among 145 yards. Patrick Mahomes played more like a human, rather than a super human, with only two on target for touchdowns and a rather mundane 249 yards passing.
