The 40th WGA Tour will be based on results of 27 selected PGA Tour events (Note: depending on actual date of draft and PGA scheduling, total number of tournaments to be played may be fewer than indicated) played from February through August, culminating (this year) with the BMW Championship (see Tournament Schedule). Teams will be stocked with 10 PGA players during the annual draft. These rules are unchanged from previous year.

WGA Fees FRANCHISE FEE: $750
ReDRAFT FEE: $10 per dropped player in each of three ReDrafts
HIGH MONEY WINNER LIBATIONS: The leading money winner is responsible for buying a round for the house at the following year's draft.

DRAFT The draft will be of 10 rounds. No golfers will be automatically carried over from year-to-year. Draft order will be determined by drawing from cards equal to the number of teams entered with lowest number going first. Order will be reversed for second round. A new draw will occur for each odd numbered round, with reverse order in even numbered rounds.

ReDRAFTS Three ReDrafts will be held at designated times during the course of the WGA Tour. Any team owner, regardless of position in the standings, is eligible to participate. The process involves: 1) submitting golfers to be dropped then, a week later, 2) submitting a list of golfers, in order of preference, to be added. Any PGA or golfer playing on World tours, is eligible to be picked-up providing that golfer isn't on a WGA roster. Golfers who have been dropped from rosters are eligible to be picked-up. The ReDraft will be conducted by blind draw with each team eligible for #1 selections, then those replacing a second golfer will be drawn, and so on.

TOURNAMENT QUALIFICATION In order to qualify for any tournament, a team must have at least four golfers make the cut. If no teams have at least four golfers make the cut, then first, second and third place money is carried over to the following tournament. If only one team has at least four golfers who make the cut, then that team wins first, second and third place money. If only two teams have at least four golfers who make the cut, then third place money is divided between those two teams.

TOURNAMENT SCORING Team placing for all tournaments is determined by the sum of a team's lowest four scores by cut makers at the end of the tournament with the lowest score earning first, second lowest score earning second and third lowest score earning third place payouts. In case of a tie for any of the team placings, the scores of the teams' fifth cut making golfers will serve as the tie breaker. Should the tie persist, then the 6th golfers, and so on, will be used. If neither team has a subsequent eligible golfer, then the teams will split the payout.

If a team doesn't have at least four making the cut, then a score of one stroke higher than the highest total recorded in that tournament by a golfer currently on a WGA roster will be assigned for up to four non-cut making positions. These 'phantom' scores will be counted in Season Team Scoring totals.

If a tournament is cancelled by the PGA due to weather or other circumstances prior to being considered 'official', then the purse is forwarded to the following event. Any event shortened by the PGA, but still considered official, will also be treated as official for WGA purposes with the purse awarded as if all the rounds had been completed.

TOURNAMENT MEDALIST The lowest scoring golfer on any WGA roster will earn a medalist payout for that team. In case of a tie, the payout will be divided equally. All teams are eligible for the medalist payout regardless of whether or not they have at least four cut making golfers. If an individual tournament winner isn't on a WGA roster, the lowest scoring golfer for that event who is currently on a roster will be declared WGA medalist for the tournament.

TOURNAMENT SCORING RECORD Any team that breaks an established WGA tournament scoring record will receive an additional $30. If two or more teams tie in a particular tournament with scores below the established record, then the team that is declared the tournament winner, after the normal tiebreaking process, receives the additional money. If the tie persists, then the scoring record payout is divided between the teams. To set a scoring record, a tournament must have been contested as a WGA event for at least one prior year. If a previous tournament scoring record is tied, then no money will be awarded.

No team that wins an event of less than four rounds will be eligible for Tournament Scoring Record consideration.

TOURNAMENT CLASSIFICATIONS WGA tournaments carry the following classifications: MAJOR: Masters, PGA Championship and U.S. Open Championship; CAPITAL: Genesis Open, Players Championship, Memorial Tournament and The Open Championship; REGULAR: all other tournaments. Team and medalist payouts are approximately double for a MAJOR compared to a REGULAR and one and a half times for a CAPITAL compared to a REGULAR.

YEAR-END PAYOUTS In addition to tournament purses, year-end payouts will be made for: SEASON TEAM SCORING - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place; SEASON INDIVIDUAL MEDALIST: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place - golfer must have made the cut in more than half of that year's WGA tournaments to qualify.
