LeAnne McGahuey was an outstanding four year volleyball player for the Wildcats after graduating from Wenatchee High School. She completed her CWU career holding records as the school's single-season volleyball leader in kills (429 in 2004), kills per set (4.56 in 2004), attack percentage (.418 in 2004) and points per set (5.26 in 2004). LeAnne was also the career record holder in kills per set (3.61) and points per set (4.29). She led the 2004 Wildcats during her junior year to a 26-0 regular season record.

LeAnne was selected to three All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference squads including two first-team berths, twice each to AVCA and Daktronics NCAA-II All-West Region teams, and twice each to AVCA and Daktronics All-American teams. She was named GNAC Player of the Year and GNAC Female Athlete of the Year in 2005.
